When this mod becomes available for public testing users will be required to own Just Cause 3 and all of the game's DLC. Right now the team is currently developing a server browser for the main menu, making the mod easier to use for future beta releases. Nanos Framework has been working on developing a full Multiplayer component for Just Cause 3 for quite some time now, already showing off on-foot synchronization between players, PVP combat and the ability for players to interact with other player vehicles, making vehicle surfing a possibility online. Thankfully this news does not mean that a Just Cause 3 Multiplayer component is never going to be released, as the team behind JC2-MP were not the only ones that have been working towards this goal. We're still searching for solutions to our most prevalent issues (including AMD compatibility without workarounds) hopefully, we'll be able to make headway in the future. We will still be maintaining JC2-MP where appropriate - while we're not actively adding new features, we will fix bugs, maintain stability, and ensure that JC2-MP remains a quality experience for players present and future. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, neither I or the rest of the team can actively pursue development on JC3-MP our lives are just too busy to allow for it right now. As part of Avalanche, I'll be able to bring many of the things you know and love from JC2-MP into future Avalanche experiences, while reaching heights that a mere mod couldn't facilitate. Good and bad news often come in pairs, and this case is no exception several months ago, I was approached with an offer I couldn't refuse: to join Avalanche Studios Sweden as a developer so that I could work on projects present and future. We know you've been waiting for news over this past year - your desire to play it is matched by our desire to make it - but there's a good reason. It is on this note that we're regretfully announcing the indefinite halt of JC3-MP development. While this news may be disappointing to Just Cause 3 players, we have to remember that these modders will now be directly influencing the development of future Avalanche games, potentially adding functionality to future games that mere mods could never achieve. The developers of this mod previously created the multiplayer component of Just Cause 2, JC2-MP, a mod that was so popular that it was eventually added to the base game as a free DLC on Steam. The Development of Just Cause 3's Multiplayer mod has been halted, with its developers being officially hired by Avalanche Studios, the developers of Just Cause 3.
